No technical setup needed. You don't need a Make.com account, JSON files or any technical knowledge. Everything that reads your invitations works behind the scenes. You just sign in, connect your accounts and choose Yes or No.
- 1
Create an account and sign in
Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, or sign up with your email and a password for this app. If you sign up with email, confirm your address from the message we send you (check your junk folder too).
- 2
Connect a Gmail or Outlook inbox
Open Accounts at the top of the assistant and connect the inbox where your invitations arrive. Your email provider asks you to allow access. Only you can see what comes from your inbox.
- 3
Connect a Google or Outlook calendar
On the same Accounts page, connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar and pick the calendar you'd like events to go to by default.
- 4
Turn on automatic inbox checking
On the Accounts page, switch on Automatic checking for each inbox you want watched. Your inbox is then checked every 2 minutes on our servers, even when you're signed out or your phone and computer are off. It starts with emails that arrive after you turn it on. Only emails that look like events are read for details.
- 5
Receive an event invitation by email
When an email mentions an event, the assistant finds the details for you and adds a card to your list of pending invitations.
- 6
Review the extracted event details
Each card shows the title, date, time, time zone, place and any meeting link. All-day events are labeled as all-day. Check them before you decide.
- 7
Select the destination calendar
Use Save to calendar on the card to choose which of your connected calendars gets this event. Your default calendar is already selected.
- 8
Approve or dismiss the event
Click Yes to add the event. Click No or Dismiss to skip it. Changed your mind after No or Dismiss? Click Undo within 30 seconds.
- 9
Find the saved event in your calendar
After Yes, the card tells you which calendar the event was added to. Open Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar to see it. Nothing is added without your Yes.
Install Calendar Event Assistant on Your Phone
Add the app to your Home Screen so it opens with one tap, like any other app. It's free, and you don't need an app store.
- 1Open Safari.
- 2Visit https://calendareventassistant.com.
- 3Tap the Share button.
- 4Select Add to Home Screen.
- 5Enable Open as Web App, if available.
- 6Tap Add.
Menu names can differ slightly between phone and browser versions. The installed app needs an internet connection, just like the website.
